Here is a list of the games for Week 2 of High School football in the Eastern NC area. There are some games this week that are being played on Thursday night due to the Labor Day weekend.

- Tarboro @ Hertford County
- Northern Nash @ Fike
Our feature game last week was Rocky Mount @ Tarboro. Tarboro wasted no time with getting out to an early 14-0 lead and they stayed in control the whole game and they shut out Rocky Mount with the score of 30-0. Tarboro held Rocky Mount to four 1st downs the entire game. Quarterback Tyler Powell gave running back Mason Satterfield the ball and he was able to score two touchdowns. Powell also added a receiving touchdown to Cole Craddock and Jaden Jenkins.
This weeks feature game is going to be Northern Nash @ Fike. Last week Northern Nash defeated Wilson hunt 35-14 and then Fike defeated Beddingfield by the score of 27-23. Northern Nash is going to try and go 2-0 and continue defeating schools from Wilson County. Could it be that when Northern Nash and Southern Nash meet in Death Valley on October 25th that they are going to be playing in the defacto Big East Conference Championship game only time will tell and there is a lot of football that still is going to be played during that time.
