Mexico City, Rockingham and Lime Rock Park highlight NASCAR schedule changes

Today NASCAR announced their schedule for the 2025 Cup, X-finity, and Craftsman Truck series schedule. Normally when the schedules come out there are not many changes, however for 2025 that is not the case. Let’s take a look at some of the changes and highlights of the schedule.

For the NASCAR Cup Series the biggest change is they are not running on Easter weekend. They also have ditched the LA Coliseum for another small bullring here in North Carolina and that is Bowman Gray Stadium.

Bowman Gray Stadium is looking forward to hosting the Clash on February 2nd.

The other big change is that NASCAR is going to Mexico City for the first time in 2025. The series will be racing there on June 15th at the road course.

NASCAR also shuffled some of the playoffs dates up. They put Gateway and New Hampshire in the chase and moved Talladega a few weeks to the middle race of the top 8 playoffs.

For the NASCAR X-Finity series, one of the biggest additions is the return of Rockingham Speedway. Rockingham Speedway (North Carolina Motor Speedway) use to host Cup and X-finity (Busch) every year through 2004. Then it came back for a couple of years by the Truck series running there. Now they will run there on Easter Weekend. Tickets will be available for sale starting November 1st.

For the Truck series, Lime Rock Park and the addition of the Charoltte Roval are the two biggest changes for the series. It will be interesting to see how drivers react to the changes on the schedule.

Below you will find all 3 schedules for each series.
